Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the Pink Ribbon Monaco Gala at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo alongside her younger brother Gareth Wittstock. The appearance marked the start of Pink October, the annual drive for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. HELLO! reported the gala on 4 October 2026.

Charlene and Gareth helped illuminate the Place du Casino in pink. The Monegasque palace confirmed that 24 buildings across the Principality will stay lit in pink throughout the month. It is a bright, public signal for a serious cause.

Since 2024, Charlene has served as Honorary President of Pink Ribbon Monaco. The charity raises awareness and funds for research into female cancers and for prevention work. The role puts her at the front of the October campaign, from the gala room to the street lights.

Style did the talking on the night. Charlene wore an all-white Emporio Armani suit with black heels and diamond drop earrings. Gareth matched the theme in a classic tuxedo with a pink bow tie.

Wittstock is a familiar face in Monaco but keeps a low public profile. He moved to the Principality from South Africa after his sister's marriage to Prince Albert of Monaco in 2011. Born Charlene Lynette Wittstock, the Princess is listed in her official biography as an Ambassador for Peace & Sport since 2013, according to the Princely Palace.

Gareth now serves as Secretary General of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation. Charlene set up the foundation in 2012 to promote water safety and prevent drowning in young children. He shares two daughters, Kaia Rose and Bodhi, with his wife Roisin Galvin.

That foundation work extends beyond gala season. Wittstock and the foundation joined a Monegasque charity petanque event raising funds to improve the daily lives of healthcare staff, as reported by the Monaco Tribune. It is hands-on, local charity work away from the palace cameras.

The gala followed other high-profile duties for the couple. Charlene and Prince Albert hosted Italy's President Sergio Mattarella for a state dinner in the throne room at the Princely Palace in Monaco. State dinners are among the most formal fixtures in the palace calendar.

What makes this stand out is the family thread. For fans, this means a glimpse of brother and sister working the same cause together. Short speeches. Bright lights. Sharp suits. And a month-long reminder lit across the Monaco skyline.
