Talpa Studios will head to Mipcom with two new entertainment formats leading its sales slate, Sing With Me and The Golden Elevators.

Mipcom, the annual television market in Cannes where broadcasters, streamers and producers buy and sell shows, is a key meeting point for next season's schedules. Formats, meaning original show ideas that can be remade with local hosts and contestants in different countries, are the currency of that market. Talpa is putting the two titles forward as its lead offers for international buyers, Variety reported.

Sing With Me was developed in collaboration with Dutch producer IDTV. IDTV is the creator of The Traitors. The new format already has a transmission slot. It will launch on SBS6 in the Netherlands on Nov. 7, which gives buyers a finished version to watch and assess.

The Golden Elevators is a quiz show that combines general knowledge with social strategy, meaning contestants must answer correctly and manage alliances at the same time. The format has secured two early orders, meaning commissions for full local productions. ITV in the U.K. and SBS6 in the Netherlands will both make their own versions. Both versions are set to air early next year.

The original concept was developed by Talpa Studios' creative team, as Deadline reported. The game begins with ten contestants competing together, according to Talpa Studios. For the United States and United Kingdom, Talpa Studios partnered with Studio Lambert to produce the show, Realscreen reported in February. That structure, with one creator and a local production partner, allows a format to be adapted for different audiences.

That partnership model now runs across the company. Talpa Studios has 26 formats active across 34 countries. Shows developed through partnerships account for more than 40% of its catalogue. Its quiz The Floor has reached more than 30 territories.

What makes this stand out is how quickly both ideas have moved from paper to schedule. One arrives with a launch date. The other arrives with two broadcasters attached. For viewers, this means a short wait. Dutch viewers get Sing With Me in November. British and Dutch viewers are first in line for The Golden Elevators.
