Wisin has signed with WME for representation in all areas.

The agreement was confirmed on 5 October, with the agency to work across the Puerto Rican singer's career, a type of deal in which one company handles live shows, film and television work and brand partnerships alongside music. Billboard

Wisin, whose real name is Juan Luis Morera Luna, said he was joining WME at an exciting new chapter in his career. He said the team understands his evolving vision and is fully on board.

He added that after helping shape the global sound and impact of reggaeton, the Spanish-language urban music style that developed in Puerto Rico, he is ready to expand beyond music. He said he wants to connect with new audiences, markets and opportunities around the world.

The WME signing follows a recent change in his management. Wisin announced a management deal with Chris Duque of D27 Entertainment before signing with the agency. He was previously managed by Walter Kolm for almost a decade.

Wisin began his career almost three decades ago as one half of the duo Wisin y Yandel. As a solo artist, he has collected 24 No. 1s on Billboard's Latin Airplay chart, the weekly ranking of the most-played songs on Latin radio stations in the United States.

That solo run includes his 2016 collaboration with Enrique Iglesias, "Duele El Corazón." The song spent 11 weeks at No. 1 on Latin Airplay and 14 weeks at No. 1 on Hot Latin Songs, Billboard's combined chart for sales, streams and radio play.

His recent work includes the album La Universidad del Perreo. The record features Ivy Queen, Don Chezina, Jory Boy, Jowell & Randy, Trébol Clan, Franco El Gorila, Juanka El Problematik, El Bogueto and Kapo.

For fans, this means his next steps could reach past records and tours. Any new film, television or international projects will now run through WME.
