Fuerza Regida will receive the Billboard Vanguard Award at the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards.

Billboard and Telemundo announced the honour on 5 October. The Mexican American group will also perform during the ceremony, giving them two central roles on the night — honouree and live act Billboard.

Twelve nominations. One special honour. One performance. Fuerza Regida goes into the awards as a finalist in 12 categories. That haul includes Artist of the Year, the all-genre prize that pits the biggest Latin acts against each other for the top title of the night.

The competition is crowded. Peso Pluma leads the list of finalists for the 2026 edition, putting him ahead of the rest of the field on nominations alone Billboard. Karol G, Prince Royce and Bad Bunny are also among the leading finalists alongside Fuerza Regida, setting up a ceremony where several of Latin music's most-streamed names meet in the same categories.

The ceremony takes place at the James L. Knight Center in Miami. The venue sits in Downtown Miami, close to the waterfront and the city's business district.

Viewers can watch live. The show airs on Thursday, 22 October at 8 p.m. ET on Telemundo and Peacock, with Telemundo carrying the Spanish-language broadcast in the United States. Telemundo first confirmed the 22 October date on 21 July, locking in the Thursday-night slot for Latin music's awards week Telemundo.

The awards night closes four days of industry events. Billboard Latin Music Week 2026 runs from 19 to 22 October in Miami, with panels, showcases and conversations held at Faena Miami Beach. Fuerza Regida will headline a Superstar Q&A during the week, a ticketed session where artists discuss their career, songwriting and business decisions in front of fans and industry guests.

For fans, this means two different ways to see the group in the same week. First comes the conversation, with questions about how the records get made and how the tours come together. Then comes the awards show, with the Vanguard presentation and a performance on the Knight Center stage.
