Robert Kelker-Kelly, the actor known for Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives and for his work on Another World, died on 3 October at his home in St. Peters, Missouri. He was 62. His death was first reported by TMZ, according to Deadline.

Police in St. Peters were called to the house at around 8:16 p.m. after a report of an unconscious man who was not breathing. Kelker-Kelly had complained of chest pain shortly before becoming unresponsive. Officers and paramedics gave life-saving treatment at the scene. It did not succeed.

Police said the circumstances appeared consistent with a medical event. No other cause has been stated.

Kelker-Kelly began acting in 1987. His first part was Sam Fowler on Another World, a daytime serial, meaning a continuing drama shown on weekday afternoons. He played Sam until 1990. The schedule was demanding. It gave him an early, steady presence in daytime television.

He then took over the part of Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives. The long-running daytime serial follows families in the fictional town of Salem. He acted opposite Kristian Alfonso and Lisa Rinna. He left the role when the previous actor returned in 1995. The spell kept him before a national daytime audience.

In 1996, he returned to Another World. He first appeared as Bobby Reno. The character was later revealed to be Dr Shane Roberts. Kelker-Kelly stayed with the programme until 1998.

He later played Stavros Cassadine on General Hospital, another long-running daytime serial, in 2001. He came back for guest spots from 2002 to 2014. The villain recurred across more than a decade. Short returns kept the character in the story without a full-time contract.

Away from acting, he trained for a second career. He worked as a professional pilot from 2003 to 2015. That twelve-year run overlapped with his later guest appearances on General Hospital. It marked a long break from full-time series work.
