Anthony Ramos is keeping it small and midweek this winter.

The singer and actor will headline “Noches de Familia” (Family Nights), a three-date engagement at Nublu in New York City. He will play three consecutive Wednesday nights — Nov. 25, Dec. 2 and Dec. 9 — according to Billboard, which announced the run exclusively on Monday, Oct. 5.

Tickets are on sale now. Nublu’s website lists the performance time as 7pm, which gives ticket-holders an early-evening start in the middle of the working week, according to Nublu.

Nublu is a live music club in Alphabet City, a section of Manhattan’s East Village known for small venues, bars and late-night music. The club was founded in 2002 and has hosted jazz, Latin, electronic and experimental acts in an intimate, low-stage setting.

The run is organised as a short residency rather than a tour stop. That means the same artist, same room and same weeknight, three times over. For people planning around work or school, the repeat dates offer more than one chance to get in.

The shows follow Ramos’s latest single, “Wasn’t Even Lookin’.” He released the track on Sept. 25 through his own Ramos Music imprint, with distribution by The Orchard, the company that places releases on streaming services and in shops.

In practice, that kind of setup is common for independent releases. The artist’s own label controls the music, while the distributor handles the logistics of delivery, from uploads to stores and streaming platforms. It lets a performer release without signing the recording itself to one of the three majors, Universal, Sony or Warner.

For fans, this means closeness. A club night puts the audience a few metres from the stage, with sound and sightlines very different from a large theatre. An early 7pm start also makes a Wednesday outing workable, with time to travel across the city after work.

Three Wednesdays in a row gives the run a steady rhythm. Regulars can return, newcomers can pick the date that suits, and each night stands on its own. With tickets already available, anyone interested can book ahead for November or December.
