Pregnant Ciara makes surprise triple walk for Junya Watanabe in Paris

Ciara made a surprise runway appearance while pregnant at Junya Watanabe's Spring 2027 ready-to-wear show in Paris on Saturday, Oct. 3. She walked three times and showed her baby bump on the catwalk. The news was held back until the show was over.

Her looks were built around purple leggings and a coordinating cropped top with bright pink racing-inspired stripes, according to Billboard. A low-slung black belt and red heeled boots finished the styling. The bump was left clearly visible.

Ready-to-wear means clothes made in standard sizes to sell in shops, rather than one-off couture pieces ordered by a single client. Watanabe's Spring 2027 collection was shown as part of Paris Fashion Week, the twice-yearly run of shows in the French capital. Vogue and Ciara then revealed the surprise in a joint Instagram post.

Ciara, 40, and her husband Russell Wilson announced on Sept. 6 that they are expecting their fifth child together, according to People. They shared the news with the message "One more person to love". Their existing children are Future, 12, Sienna, 9, Win, 6, and Amora, 2. The Paris walk came less than a month after that announcement.

Days after announcing the pregnancy, Ciara performed at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas. She sang "Goodies" and "1, 2 Step", two of her early hits from the 2000s. The festival is an annual live music event that draws large arena crowds.

The schedule means back-to-back public appearances in different arenas. First came a live music set in Las Vegas in September. Then came three runway walks in Paris in early October.

What makes this stand out is the physical nature of both jobs. A festival set demands singing, movement and long hours on your feet. A triple runway walk in heeled boots asks much of the same. Ciara did both within weeks of sharing her pregnancy news.
