Nintendo Adds Free Hello, Peach! and Hello, Luigi! Apps for Young Children

Nintendo has released Hello, Peach! and Hello, Luigi!, two free apps built for younger children as part of its My Mario range, Video Games Chronicle reported.
Each app lets children pull silly faces with Peach or Luigi on screen. It follows the pattern of the earlier Mario and Yoshi apps. They are designed for parents to enjoy together with small children.
Both new apps are available now on the Nintendo Switch eShop, Nintendo's download store for the console. They are free to claim. Once downloaded, they do not need an internet connection to run.
Versions for iOS and Android phones and tablets are on the way. Nintendo has not given a separate release date for those versions.
The two launches bring the Hello! set to four. They join Hello, Mario!, which lets children interact with Mario on a phone or tablet, and Hello, Yoshi!, which does the same for Yoshi. The wider My Mario line also includes Hello, Mario! and Hello, Yoshi! board books.
Nintendo has also added two episodes to It's Me, Mario, its short stop-motion series made for the My Mario range. That takes the series to nine episodes in total.
My Mario began in Japan before expanding to the United States, where it launched at the Nintendo New York and Nintendo San Francisco stores on 19 Feb, according to Nintendo. The range includes play blocks of Peach, Yoshi and Luigi that also work as amiibo, small figures that unlock extras when tapped to a compatible game, in any title that supports Super Mario amiibo figures.
What makes this stand out is the focus. No scores. No levels to clear. For families with very young children, this means a simple character hello on Switch first, with mobile to follow, and no connection needed once the app is on the device.
