A$AP Rocky will fund four years of full tuition for one incoming freshman at the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports and Entertainment at LIU Brooklyn. One student will receive it; no additional places were announced.

The award was reported on Oct. 6, 2026. It will go to a single student entering as a first-time freshman — a student starting university for the first time, rather than transferring from elsewhere.

Applications for first-time freshmen for the fall 2027 semester are open now and run through Dec. 15, according to Billboard. That window gives school-leavers just over two months from the announcement to submit. The fall semester is the main September intake in the United States.

The Roc Nation School sits within Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York. It has about 300 students on campus across six Bachelor of Arts programmes, the three- or four-year undergraduate degrees that form the core of US university study.

Tuition at the school cost $32,000 as of 2024. A full-tuition award covers the cost of classes themselves. Over four years, that represents a substantial saving on the headline price of a degree, even before housing and living costs are considered.

Rocky joins a short list of artists and sports figures who have put their names to funded places at the school. DJ Khaled, Megan Thee Stallion, producer and engineer Gimel “Young Guru” Keaton and basketball player LaMelo Ball have all previously launched scholarships there.

Megan Thee Stallion announced plans in 2021 to provide a full-tuition, four-year scholarship for a student at the school, according to Roc Nation. Keaton joined the school in 2022 as director of its Music Technology, Entrepreneurship and Production programme, which trains students in studio skills and the business of making records.

Keaton later offered a full-tuition scholarship for a prospective student seeking enrolment for the fall 2026 semester. Applications for that award were accepted through July 17, 2026, as reported by The Source.

For applicants, this means a direct contest for one fully funded place in a small school. With only about 300 students on campus, a single four-year award is highly visible.
