Lego has named the cast for its first musical feature film, Lego Friends: Heartlake the Musical.

The 90-minute film stars Jada Langley as Daisy and Gino Ochello in a leading role. It will premiere on 16 Oct on Netflix and Lego's YouTube channel, as reported by Variety.

The story is built around Lego's Lego Friends range. It follows Daisy, a girl settling into a new school in a new country. She finds a mysterious key. Then everything changes.

Daisy is carried to Heartlake City. There she meets new friends and joins them in a bid to save a local landmark.

Langley recently played Joyce in the touring production of Sunny Afternoon. Ochello is currently leading The Karate Kid: The Musical in London's West End theatre district.

The wider Heartlake line-up is large. Gracie McGonigal plays Autumn, Danita Walcott-Nichols plays Aliya, Hannah Gracie plays Paisley and Hamish Skeoch plays Olly. Manuel Jenoure plays Zac, Angelina Li plays Liann, Darcy Jacobs plays Candi and Meesha Garbett plays Nova, according to Variety.

Siubhan Harrison and Ian Virgo play Daisy's mother and father. Kevin N Golding plays Old Man Heart, and Taylor Sullivan plays Kyle.

Behind the camera, Paul Becker directed. Kenny Ortega produced the film and wrote its story, with a screenplay by Kirk R. Thatcher and Jeremy Adams.

Final Pixel produced the film, which was shot entirely in the U.K. Lego had earlier named Ortega as executive producer for the live-action musical project in July 2025, with filming then scheduled to start in London in August, as announced by Lego.

For fans, this means a short wait. The film lands in just over a week, free on YouTube as well as on Netflix.
