Two star managers are leaving Anonymous Content at the end of the year.

Talent managers and partners Tony Lipp and Dara Gordon will depart when their contracts expire after the company opted not to renew them, Deadline reported on 6 October 2026. President and CEO Darren Walker shared the news in an internal memo to staff. Walker took over the top job in January.

Anonymous Content works on both sides of the camera. It produces film and television and also manages actors and other creatives, meaning it guides careers, finds jobs and negotiates deals. The firm was founded in 1999 by Steve Golin and describes itself on its own site as a production and management company where talent comes first.

Lipp is based in Los Angeles. He joined Anonymous Content as a partner in 2011 from CAA, the major talent agency, and at one stage led its Talent department. That is a long run in one place. Fourteen years covers a lot of deals and debuts.

Gordon is based in New York. She joined in 2015 from Authentic Talent and Literary Management and was promoted to partner in November 2021, alongside fellow manager Robyn Meisinger. The two coasts matter. One partner in Los Angeles and one in New York gave the firm cover in both industry hubs.

Their client lists explain why the exits count. Lipp looks after Patrick Wilson, Michelle Monaghan, Jonathan Bailey, Jack Quaid, Matt Bomer, Joshua Jackson and John Lithgow. He also manages Kate O'Flynn and, jointly with Gordon, Betty Gilpin, both of Widow's Bay.

Gordon manages or co-manages Lili Reinhart, Aaron Pierre, Leo Woodall, Adria Arjona, Winona Ryder, Billy Magnussen, Taissa Farmiga and Melissa Benoist. It is a broad mix of film and television names. It spans newer faces and long established stars.

Lipp also has a producing credit. He produced Remarkably Bright Creatures, the Netflix film starring Sally Field and Lewis Pullman that earned an Emmy nomination. Field won an Emmy for her performance.

For viewers, little changes on screen. Managers work off camera. But a switch can decide who picks up the phone in the next negotiation, and where an actor signs next.

The departures follow change at the company. Anonymous Content has taken a minority-stake investment from Emerson Collective, the organisation backed by Laurene Powell Jobs. A minority stake means an outside backer owns part of the business without taking control. The company has also committed to making at least eight films a year.
