Dermot Mulroney has joined the cast of Streets as Gordon, the car action film led by Emelia Hartford as star, producer and co-writer, as reported by Deadline on 6 October 2026.

The project comes from Ali Afshar's ESX Entertainment and Warner Bros' Crew HQ. Mulroney, who is represented by Paradigm, joins an ensemble that is already taking shape around Hartford.

Hartford co-wrote the script with Shaun Paul Piccinino, who is also directing the film. She is producing under her Running Lean Productions banner, according to Deadline.

The story follows an East LA street racing crew on a high-stakes hunt across Southern California. Its starting point is a real motoring mystery: the 1939 disappearance of Jean Bugatti's personal Type 57S Atlantic, a French luxury sports car. One of the few ever built was never found.

The wider cast includes Cody Christian, RJ Kyler, Jearnest Corchado, Ryder Franco, John Marshall Jones, Harry Jarvis, Spencer Belko and Struggle Jennings, Deadline reported. Mulroney's Gordon slots into that crew of racers, hunters and hangers-on.

Filming is taking place on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank. The production was granted a California Film and Television Tax Credit, the state's programme that returns part of qualifying spend to shoots that film locally, and is a launch project for workforce development in partnership with Warner Bros. Studios' CrewHQ.

What makes this stand out is the fuel in the tank. Street racing films usually chase a fictional prize. Here the chase is tied to a missing Bugatti that collectors have wondered about for almost 90 years.
