Keith Allen will lead Not the Benny Hill Show at Wilton's Music Hall next spring, as the venue confirmed its programme for spring 2027.

The dark comedy runs from 6 to 17 April and sits at the centre of the announcement, according to details reported by WhatsOnStage.

Not the Benny Hill Show is new writing. Jonathan Maitland is the playwright. Dugald Bruce Lockhart directs the production. It is presented by Canvey Rock Productions Ltd, in association with Cahoots Theatre Company. That credit, meaning the two companies are behind the staging, was included in the season notice.

A season reveal, meaning a venue publishes several productions together, lets audiences see what is coming and plan bookings across different months. Wilton's has done that here. It has grouped three separate titles under one spring banner.

The Allen run lasts 12 days in April. Allen takes the lead role, meaning he is the central performer around whom the show is billed. No further casting has been announced in the material released so far. The dates cover two weeks in the same theatre.

The programme moves straight on to another premiere. Tabby Lamb's The Law of Mayhem follows from 20 to 24 April. The dates give audiences a five-day window. The play turns to Roberta Cowell and Michael Dillon. The pair met in 1949. That meeting is the historical starting point given for Lamb's story.

The earliest dates in the announcement fall in January. Elizabeth Godber's Wolf Country plays from 25 to 27 January. It is presented by the John Godber Company. That three-day run opens the stretch covered by the season reveal. A presented-by credit means the named company brings the production to the venue.

Put together, the line-up pairs a star-led comedy with two shorter new plays. The January title arrives first on the calendar. The two April titles play within weeks of each other. All three form part of the same spring 2027 season at Wilton's Music Hall.

For audiences planning ahead, this means advance notice and time to choose. Short runs can sell through quickly because there are fewer performances to book. Dates, writers, director and producers are now confirmed. Ticket information, including prices and on-sale dates, will be handled by the venue.
