Royal GP found dead near Sandringham; husband charged with murder

Dr Hannah Terry, a 45-year-old GP who cared for senior royals staying at Sandringham, was found dead at her home on the edge of the estate in the early hours of Sunday 4 October.
Norfolk Police said officers found a woman's body at an address in Fern Hill, Dersingham. The force later named her as 45-year-old Hannah Cain, subject to confirmation at formal inquest proceedings, the legal process that formally records identity and how a death occurred. Hello Magazine
A Home Office post-mortem examination took place on Monday 5 October. The cause of death is pending further investigation.
Police charged 45-year-old Mark Cain, of Fern Hill, Dersingham, with her murder. He was remanded to appear before Norwich Magistrates' Court on the morning of Wednesday 7 October. Mr Cain is Dr Terry's husband.

Dr Terry looked after senior members of the Royal Family during their stays at Sandringham, including King Charles III and Queen Camilla. The King and Queen were reported to have been informed of her death.
She had worked at Heacham GP surgery for nine years before leaving last summer. She later worked at Grimston Medical Centre in King's Lynn, and also worked privately at Norfolk Sky Aesthetics. She was the mother of three sons.
Grimston Medical Centre was closed on Tuesday following her death.

The criminal case will now move through the courts. An inquest will in due course examine the circumstances of the death.
