Playground Games has told Forza Horizon 6 players it has not been talking with them as much as it could be.

The message came in a community update detailed on 7 October 2026. The studio said it hears feedback about post-launch updates, the new cars, events and fixes added after release, and is looking into future changes to in-game content and how it communicates, Video Games Chronicle.

That acknowledgement followed visible frustration. The Forza Horizon 6 community had expressed anger over the lack of direct communication from the developer, Yahoo Tech. That backlash prompted the review of monthly content plans and communication, Traxion.

No firm changes were announced. The language was careful. Playground said it is listening and investigating, not that a new schedule is locked in.

Two larger projects remain in motion. The studio is still working on a PlayStation 5 port planned for release later in 2026. As of early October, no release date had been announced for that version.

Playground is also preparing the first of two DLC expansions, paid add-ons that typically bring new cars and map areas. Details on timing and content were not given.

The update lands after a busy few months for support. The Xbox team began rolling out a platform update for Xbox Series X|S to ease lost save issues, according to a notice published on 5 August 2026, Forza Support. Forza also introduced the Forza Feedback Portal, a revamped route for bug reports and game ideas, Forza. The Premium Edition had offered up to four days of Early Access, early play before the wider launch, beginning on 15 May, according to a FAQ published on 9 June 2026, Forza Support.

For fans, this means a short wait for specifics. The studio has named the problem. Players now want dates, and the next test will be what changes in the coming content drops.
