ICG Publicists Awards 2027 Set for March 12 in Beverly Hills

Hollywood's behind-the-scenes campaigners have their date. The International Cinematographers Guild will hold its 64th ICG Publicists Awards luncheon on March 12, 2027, at the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills, as reported by Deadline.
The Friday lunch lands just before the Academy Awards. That slot is deliberate. It puts publicists, photographers and press in the room during awards season's busiest week.
The guild also set the road map to the lunch. Television publicity campaign nominees and first-ballot nomination results will be announced on Thursday, December 3, 2026. Motion picture publicity campaign nominees follow on Wednesday, January 13, 2027. Final ballot voting closes on Thursday, February 4, 2027, with winners revealed at the March 12 luncheon.
So what is this ceremony? It honours the people who sell the shows and films. That means Local 600 publicists, meaning union members who run press campaigns and premieres, and unit still photographers, meaning the photographers who shoot official photos on set. It also recognises the standout TV and film publicity campaigns of 2025, plus the year's best entertainment journalists. Special award recipients will be revealed later.
Last year's event gives a flavour of the room. At the 63rd Publicists Awards, Noah Wyle was honoured as TV Showperson of the Year. The campaign teams behind Warner Bros.' Sinners and HBO Max's The Pitt took the top prizes.
Other 63rd winners included Michelle Alt of Paramount Pictures as Publicist of the Year, Kevin McCarthy of On Film with the Press Award, and Ali Plumb of BBC Radio in the UK with the International Media Award. Jimmy Kimmel accepted the President's Award.
For fans, this means the first clues arrive in December. The TV campaigns will show which series pushed hardest. Film will follow in January.
The awards have deep roots. Entertainment publicists first formed a union in 1937 as the Screen Publicists Guild. It later became the Publicists Guild. In 2002, that group merged with the International Cinematographers Guild, IATSE Local 600, the union that now represents camera crews, publicists and still photographers.
