Low Light Films boards sales for The Arrow at Rest ahead of Sitges premiere

Barcelona-based Low Light Films will handle international sales for Theodore Schaefer's The Arrow at Rest at Every Instant of its Flight ahead of its European premiere at Sitges, with a first clip now released, according to Deadline.
Sales here means selling the right to release the film to distributors country by country. Low Light Films, founded by Jainer Morales Mena, has boarded the 81-minute feature as it heads to Spain.
The film is a satirical triptych about three identical-looking young women. It stars Gus Birney, Jack Haven, Roberta Colindrez, Daniel Zolghadri and John Early. Jane Schoenbrun is credited as executive producer, a senior backing role separate from day-to-day producing.
The project is Schaefer's follow-up to Giving Birth to a Butterfly, which premiered at the Fantasia International Film Festival before a theatrical release through Cinedigm and Fandor.
The Arrow at Rest at Every Instant of its Flight world premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in August, where it was listed with a 15+ age rating, and later played Baltimore's New/Next Film Festival. The Edinburgh listing also names Constance Shulman among the cast, according to the Edinburgh International Film Festival.
In Spain, the film will screen in Noves Visions, the Sitges section for adventurous and formally unusual work, according to the Sitges Film Festival. The writing credit goes to Patrick Lawler and Schaefer.
Schaefer and producer Hannah Dweck are both expected in Sitges. They appear on the festival's list of confirmed artists for the 2026 edition.
For buyers, this means the next stop is Catalonia. Sitges runs as a key autumn launchpad for genre and arthouse titles seeking distributors.
