Filming has wrapped in Birmingham on The Cadburys, the six-episode drama about the family behind the chocolate bar.

The series will launch in 2027 on BritBox in North America and on U in the U.K., according to The Hollywood Reporter. It is a joint commission with UKTV and Sony Pictures Television, and is made by Fable Pictures in association with Alfresco Pictures.

Toby Regbo stars as Richard Cadbury. Harry Gilby plays his brother George Cadbury, with Jessica Barden as Maria Cadbury and Pearce Quigley as family patriarch John Cadbury.

The cameras have stopped. The cast list is now full.

Poppy Gilbert plays Elizabeth Adlington, with Joanna Scanlan as her mother Dorothy. Mathew Baynton plays fellow Quaker chocolatier Joseph Rowntree, while Ben Hardy plays Francis Fry. Felicity Montagu, Adam Hashmi, Oli Green and Alexander Butler round out the ensemble.

The story is set in 1860s Birmingham. It follows the Cadburys on their journey toward creating the Cadbury chocolate bar.

The series was previously announced under the working title Chocolate Wars, meaning the temporary title used during development. It is inspired by Deborah Cadbury's book Chocolate Wars, which charts more than 150 years of Cadbury history blending historical fact and fiction, as reported by Deadline. BritBox earlier billed the project as a warm-hearted family drama following the Cadbury family as the underdogs of the cocoa world, according to Deadline.

Behind the camera, the series is written by Chloë Mi Lin Ewart. Freddie Highmore serves as an executive producer. Faye Ward, Hannah Price and Claire Londy executive produce alongside Helen Perry for UKTV and Jess O'Riordan and Jon Farrar for BritBox.

For viewers, this means a wait. The production phase is finished, but the launch is dated for next year, with BritBox handling the North American release and U showing it in Britain.
