New Year's Rockin' Eve is coming to streaming for the first time.

Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2027 will be shown live on ABC and Disney+ at the same time, in what will be the first simulcast — meaning a joint live broadcast — in the show's history, Deadline reported. The telecast airs live on Thursday, December 31, starting at 8 p.m. ET.

Ryan Seacrest will again lead the countdown. He first began hosting alongside Dick Clark in 2005, according to ABC News, and returned for a 20th year with the 2026 edition.

He will not be alone. Rita Ora returns as co-host from New York's Times Square. Comedian Druski will host from Chicago. Julianne Hough and Rob Gronkowski will host from Las Vegas.

That multi-city setup is now standard for the night. Times Square remains the centre of the broadcast. Chicago and Las Vegas carry their own performances and midnight moments in the hours before and after the ball drop.

The audience is huge. The 2026 edition reached 46 million total viewers, Deadline reported. The show remains the No. 1 broadcast of the night year after year, according to Disney.

Behind the cameras, the show is produced by Dick Clark Productions. Ryan Seacrest, Michael Dempsey, Jay Penske and Barry Adelman serve as executive producers.

For fans, this means choice. Cable and aerial viewers can stay with ABC. Streaming subscribers can watch the same feed live on Disney+ without a second device or a clip catching up later.

Performers and song lists are still to come. They are usually announced in stages through November and December. The show's party in Times Square is organised with an in-person crowd, alongside the hosted segments from other cities.
