Punkie Johnson sets debut special Long Tiddie Short Story for YouTube

Punkie Johnson has locked in her first stand-up special.
The former Saturday Night Live cast member will release Long Tiddie Short Story on 21 October on Hartbeat's LOL Stand-Up YouTube Channel, according to an exclusive report from Deadline. It is her debut hour-long special. Johnson spent four seasons on Saturday Night Live beginning in 2020.
A stand-up special is a full set, performed for a live crowd and then released as one programme. This one was taped at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles. Taped here means filmed in front of an audience in the room. That live setting shapes the pace and the sound of the show.
Steven Feinartz directed the special. He also produced it alongside Danielle Lee. Punkie Johnson, Ethan Stern and Dominic Del Bene are credited as executive producers, the senior role that normally covers creative oversight and the business side of a production.
The viewing plan is straightforward. The special will stream free on YouTube. No cinema ticket is needed. No streaming subscription is required. Viewers can simply open the LOL Stand-Up channel on the premiere date.
Then comes a second release. Long Tiddie Short Story will also come out as a comedy album across audio streaming services on 13 November. A comedy album is the audio-only version, made for listening on the move. Pre-orders for that version open on 21 October, the same day the video premieres. Fans who catch a joke they love on YouTube can therefore save the audio to hear again later.
The project keeps Johnson with a familiar partner. Hartbeat, the company behind the YouTube channel, previously produced her 2023 SiriusXM show Love Thang for Kevin Hart's LOL Radio. Hartbeat said the distribution deal for the new special was spearheaded by President and Chief Distribution Officer Jeff Clanagan and Vice-President, Comedy Eric Weil. To spearhead a deal means to lead the talks that place a show with its outlet.
For fans, this means two dates for the diary. Stream the video in October. Look for the album in November. The hour arrives first as a night out captured on camera, then as something to carry in a pocket.
