Ella Langley asks Denver crowd: can she have the man and the dream?

Ella Langley told a Denver crowd she is wondering if she can have the man and the dream at the same time.
The country singer made the comment on Tuesday during her SiriusXM Small Stage show at The Grizzly Rose in Denver. The intimate concert on 6 October was part of SiriusXM's Small Stage Series, according to the broadcaster's listing.
Langley, who grew up in Hope Hull, Alabama, just south of Montgomery, said her life moves fast. Spending longer than five days in one place is a miracle, she told the audience Billboard.
"I turned 27 this year, so I'm kinda thinking like, wait, can she have both? Like, can she have the man and can she have the dream at the same time?" she said.
She said she had been "daydreaming a little bit" before playing "Somethin' Simple." The song appears on Dandelion, her second album. It is about trading a nonstop career pace for a quieter domestic life with a home, a dog, a guitar and a hardworking man.
Dandelion debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the US chart that ranks the most popular albums each week, and Top Country Albums, Billboard's country-only albums chart, in April. Those were her first No. 1s on both charts Billboard.
The onstage remarks drew attention because of recent reports about her personal life. People reported in September that sources confirmed Langley and fellow country singer Tucker Wetmore are dating. Wetmore gave a short "Next question" when a fan asked him about the rumours.
Langley did not mention Wetmore by name in the Denver clip. She kept the moment focused on the song and the choice it describes.
