Maisie Smith leads Little Shop of Horrors at Hope Mill Theatre
Maisie Smith stars as Audrey opposite Jed Berry as Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors at Hope Mill Theatre. The production runs from 25 September to 28 November 2026. It is a revival, meaning a fresh staging of a show first produced years earlier.
The musical is by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken WhatsOnStage. Hope Mill Theatre confirmed details for the revival in September 2025. The show then opened for its autumn run in 2026.
Berry leads the company as Seymour. Smith plays Audrey. Their casting was named in the Hope Mill staging reviewed in October 2026.
Michael Starke plays Mr Mushnik. Benjamin Yates plays the dentist. Both are central figures in the Hope Mill company alongside Berry and Smith.
Carrie-Anne Ingrouille is director and choreographer. That means she shapes both the acting and the movement. She is a Tony Award nominee and Olivier Award nominee Hope Mill Theatre. The Tony Awards honour Broadway theatre. The Olivier Awards, run by the Society of London Theatre, honour London theatre.
Ingrouille is also the choreographer of SIX. That credit will be familiar to many theatregoers. It places this small-house horror-musical in the hands of a maker with big commercial experience.
Hope Mill Theatre is adding a one-off Halloween Gala on 31 October. The gala stars Maisie Smith. The date falls inside the main run, which is on stage through November.
Tickets for the gala are priced at £60, excluding booking fees Hope Mill Theatre. A booking fee is the extra charge added on top of the ticket price. The theatre lists the price without that fee included.
For fans, this means two bookings to think about. There is the main autumn run at Hope Mill. There is also the 31 October gala for a Halloween-night performance.
There is another chance to see the title in the North West this winter. Liverpool Playhouse will stage Little Shop of Horrors from 3 December 2026 to 9 January 2027 Liverpool Playhouse. That run starts five days after the Hope Mill run closes. It covers Christmas and the first week of January.
As of 8 October 2026, the Hope Mill production is in its third week. The gala is still to come. The Liverpool dates follow after that.
