Pokémon and Santa Cruz Reveal 33 Classic TCG Skateboard Decks

Charizard, Blastoise and Venusaur are rolling onto skateboards. Pokémon and Santa Cruz have revealed 33 new blind-bag decks printed with classic designs from the Pokémon Trading Card Game, the collectible card game where players collect and battle with creature cards. The reveal sets up the next drop on 17 October.
The new series includes 30 standard decks and 3 chase variants, the term for rare designs inserted at very low odds. The standard run draws directly from card history, including the original Charizard, Blastoise and Venusaur, plus the Umbreon from Evolving Skies that collectors call “Moonbreon”, according to details reported by Video Games Chronicle.
The three chase decks are different. Each prints multiple cards from the set in several different languages on a single board. Only 500 of the chase variants will be produced in total, making them the hardest boards to find.
It is a blind-bag release, which means buyers do not know which design they will get until they open the sealed pack. Each sealed bag contains one randomly assorted 8-inch by 31.6-inch skateboard, as listed on the Santa Cruz site. You buy the pack, then reveal the graphic.
The next drop is set for 17 October. The collection is scheduled for worldwide release on 17 October 2026 through the Santa Cruz website, local retailers and select skate shops worldwide, as listed by Sole Retriever. The Santa Cruz listing puts the launch time at 9 a.m. EST / 6 a.m. PST.
Clothing is part of the drop as well. A collection of T-shirts and hoodies featuring a Pokémon TCG-themed Santa Cruz logo will be released alongside the boards. The shirts and hoodies use the same crossover branding, pairing Santa Cruz lettering with card-game artwork. They will drop at the same time as the boards.
The project follows a previous Pokémon x Santa Cruz release in 2023. That series featured artwork of 20 different Pokémon, with each board carrying a chance to be holographic, a foil finish that shines in the light. That earlier run helped establish the format: sealed packs, random designs and the hunt for foil versions. The 2023 archive listing notes 15 holo foil variants and one randomly assorted 8-inch board per sealed bag.
Santa Cruz teased the new TCG line in February ahead of the October release, as noted by PokéBeach.
For fans, this means a straight choice between riding and keeping sealed. The boards are full-size decks. If you want a specific card graphic, the blind-bag format means there is no guarantee. Collectors will need to trade, or try again.
