Sprigatito has claimed the comfiest spot in the next Pokémon card set.

VGC revealed the Sprigatito illustration rare coming to Mega Evolution Delta Reign, the next expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game. An illustration rare is a card where the artwork fills the whole frame, with no text box breaking the scene.

This one is sleepy. The artwork shows Sprigatito napping on a trainer's bed, curled into the sheets. The card has 70 HP, a measure of how much damage it can take before it is knocked out, according to early images shared by IGN.

The art is by Jiro Sasumo. Sasumo has worked on more than 40 Pokémon Trading Card Game cards, and took second place in the Pokémon Card Game Illustration Grand Prix, a contest for card artists.

Collectors will know the style. Sasumo illustrated the connected Ralts, Kirlia and Gardevoir illustration rares from Pokémon TCG Scarlet and Violet, which join to form one larger picture. Sasumo also designed the 2023 Pokémon World Championship promo card featuring Pikachu and Charizard, given out at the tournament that year.

The Sprigatito card first appeared in Japan in the Starter Set ex Sprigatito and Meowscarada ex, released September. Its English version will debut in Mega Evolution Delta Reign.

The set has release date 6 November. Prerelease tournaments, early play events held before launch, begin on 24 October 2026 at participating independent retailers.

Delta Reign is largely based on Japan's Storm Emeralda set. It prominently features Mega Rayquaza, the powered-up form of the sky dragon.

The set is a broad one. It contains over 135 cards, according to Pokémon. That includes more than 20 Trainer cards, the supporter, item and tool cards that shape a match, and more than 35 Pokémon and Trainer cards with special illustrations.

It will also add new pieces for competitive decks. The set will feature six ex cards, powerful cards that give up extra prize cards when knocked out, and four Mega Evolution ex cards. It will feature six Stadium cards, cards that sit in play and change the rules for both players, which can be used to create Legendary Stadiums, NME reported.

What makes this stand out is the mood. Many chase cards lean on battle poses. This one leans on a quiet bedroom scene, and a very tired cat.
