Modern Warfare 4 DMZ lets squads pay up to 100,000 Cash to choose how they drop in

You can walk into Modern Warfare 4's DMZ for free. Or you can drop in from the sky for 100,000 in DMZ Cash.
DMZ is Call of Duty's extraction mode, where squads deploy into a shared map, gather loot, take on objectives and try to leave intact. How you arrive is now a choice, with five infil options, the game's term for entry into a match, priced per deployment, according to details reported by Eurogamer.
The cheapest ride is your own boots. The free option spawns your character on foot at a random point, so you do not choose where you start.
Pay 5,000 in DMZ Cash and your squad starts together in a Polaris Dagor A1, a tactical off-road buggy built for speed across open ground. Pay 25,000 and you deploy in a Light Tactical Vehicle, known as an LTV, a heavier and more protected ride that can customise your start with extra cover and firepower.
The top two options take to the air. For 50,000 in DMZ Cash, your squad starts in a helicopter, giving you height and fast movement across the map. For 100,000, you spawn in an air vehicle that resembles the cargo plane used for battle-royale starts in games like Warzone, with the squad dropping from above.
Those rides are not all open from the start. The LTV and helicopter spawn options each require completion of a separate story mission to unlock, so players must progress through the mode's missions before they can buy those entries.
There is more to plan before you deploy. Players can select a Dynamic Operation before infil, or find a Dynamic Ops phone in Hajin, the mode's main map, to start one in the field, according to the Call of Duty blog. Completing a Dynamic Operation earns DMZ XP, the mode's progression points used to advance your profile.
Activision has also published an official 'DMZ Deep Dive, Part 1: Tour of Duty – Hajin Environments and Threats' guide. It covers Hajin and the Exclusion Zone, including deployment progression, HUD and Tac-Map intel, enemy forces, vehicles, after-action reports and every major point of interest.
For players, this means the opening seconds of a run can look very different. Foot, buggy, armoured vehicle, helicopter or air drop. The price is paid in DMZ Cash for that deployment, and the choice shapes how fast you move and how exposed you are.
