Kourtney Kardashian Reveals Jennifer Lawrence Apology After 'Annoying' Jab
Kourtney Kardashian has read out the apology email Jennifer Lawrence sent her after calling her annoying on camera.
The moment lands in the Season 8 premiere of Hulu's The Kardashians. Kourtney tells the cameras Lawrence reached out to say sorry, then shares a line from the note: “I just feel like I’m one of your sisters,” Variety.
The row started during press for Lawrence’s film Die My Love. Taking a Vanity Fair lie detector test, Lawrence was asked about Kourtney and answered she was “more annoying than ever.” She added, “She just drives me nuts, because everything has to be an announcement.”
Kourtney did not laugh it off. In the premiere, her mother Kris Jenner mentions she has just been out with Lawrence and Emma Stone. Kourtney snaps back, “Fuck that bitch Jennifer Lawrence.” Cut to her direct to camera. She is still angry.
The apology came via family channels. Lawrence asked Kim Kardashian for Kourtney’s contact details so she could make amends directly. Then the email arrived.
Timing mattered. Kourtney says the “annoying” clip landed during a “really sensitive week” for her, People. Her first reaction was sharp. She says she wanted to “slap the shit out of” Lawrence after hearing the remark, Page Six.
She softened later. Kourtney says she first took the comments to heart. Then she rewatched the clip. Her verdict: it “wasn’t that bad.”
Lawrence has also poked fun at herself over the press tour. Speaking on Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast, she said she should do half as much press as normal people do.
What makes this stand out is how quickly a throwaway press answer turned into a storyline. One joke in an interview. One angry reaction. One email. Now it is part of the season.
That season, Hulu says, is about love, reinvention and what comes next, Hulu. The cast list names Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian Barker, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, all of whom also serve as executive producers alongside Ben Winston, Danielle King, Emma Conway, Elizabeth Jones and Erin Foye.
