Aldis Hodge and Wunmi Mosaku to star in nanny-cam thriller One Night Out

Aldis Hodge and Wunmi Mosaku will play a married couple in peril in One Night Out, a thriller for Amazon MGM Studios' Orion Pictures.
Deadline broke the casting as an exclusive on 8 October, reporting that George Tillman Jr. will direct the film Deadline. It will stream on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
The story centres on a couple with marriage troubles. They leave three children at home with a babysitter for a rare night out. Then they spot someone inside their house on the nanny cam and race back to save their children.
Nelson Greaves wrote the script from his own short story. Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo wrote revisions. Tillman will produce with Bob Teitel.
Tillman said he had wanted to work with Hodge and Mosaku for years. He told Deadline he had finally found the right project in One Night Out.
Hodge already leads a major Prime Video series. He stars in and executive produces Cross, the crime drama. Its first season drew 40 million viewers globally in its first 20 days, and the show has been renewed for a third season.
His next film work keeps him inside Amazon MGM. He will star opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in Road House 2. He also starred in the independent film The Dutchman, which premiered at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival.
Mosaku arrives with awards attention. She had an Oscar-nominated role in Ryan Coogler's Sinners. She will next appear in Aaron Sorkin's The Social Reckoning alongside Jeremy Allen White, Jeremy Strong and Mikey Madison.
She will also lead This Is How It Goes for Apple TV, opposite Idris Elba. Her recent credits include The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd, written and directed by Tim Blake Nelson.
Tillman is best known as a director for The Hate U Give and Notorious. Both films centred on real lives under pressure.
For viewers, this means a simple set-up with two busy leads. A night out. A camera feed. A race home.
