Sophia Laforteza will resume group activities with Katseye in the first week of January 2027.

Management and labels Hybe and Geffen confirmed the return date on 8 October, according to Rolling Stone. It is the first confirmed timeline for her return since she stepped back from the global girl group.

Laforteza announced a hiatus in August to focus on her mental health and well-being. She is the leader of Katseye, as noted by Billboard. No further detail about the break was given at the time.

She will not take part in the North American dates of Katseye's THE WILDWORLD TOUR or in other promotional activities for the rest of the year. That means she will miss a busy run of live shows and publicity in the final months of 2026.

The North American leg begins on 13 October and runs through 28 November. Neither Laforteza nor fellow member Manon Bannerman will appear on those dates. Laforteza had already been confirmed as sitting out the U.K. and European dates of the same tour.

For fans, this means the wait is now measured in weeks rather than open-ended. The group will close out 2026 as a smaller line-up on the road, with its full line-up expected back together in the new year.
