Skydance has handed a new contract to JB Perrette, the executive in charge of selling its shows, selling its adverts and running its streaming services.

The deal was reported on 8 October 2026, two days after Skydance completed its $110 billion takeover of Warner Bros Discovery Reuters. It keeps Perrette at the centre of the combined company Deadline.

Perrette’s full name is Jean-Briac Perrette, according to Skydance’s leadership page Skydance. His titles are Co-Chair and Chief Business Officer of Skydance TV, and Co-Chair and Chief Business Officer of Skydance Direct-To-Consumer.

That second title covers direct-to-consumer, meaning streaming services sold straight to viewers. Across Paramount and Warner Bros Discovery assets now under Skydance ownership, he oversees global distribution, advertising sales, content sales, streaming strategy, marketing and business operations.

He arrived with deep knowledge of one half of the portfolio. Perrette previously served as chief executive and President of Global Streaming and Games for Warner Bros Discovery before moving to Skydance.

He has already reshaped his team. Perrette appointed David Decker as President of Content Sales, a role covering licensing deals that place shows and films with other buyers. He named Jay Askinasi as Chief Revenue Officer for Advertising. He also appointed Ray Hopkins as President of Distribution, the business of getting channels and on-demand services onto pay-TV, broadband and other platforms.

One exit follows from those hires. Kevin MacLellan was President of International and Global Content Distribution at Paramount. He is leaving Paramount/Skydance following the merger as a result of Decker’s appointment.

The contract lands in a busy week of deal-making. Paramount Skydance named the executive team to lead the combined company on 5 October 2026, a day before the deal closed. The combined company planned to change its legal name to Skydance Corporation on 6 October, according to a regulatory filing. Skydance was founded by David Ellison in 2010.

Perrette sits alongside George Cheeks, who is Co-Chair and Chief Content Officer of Skydance TV. Another key programming chief, Casey Bloys, signed a five-year deal with Skydance in October 2026.

For viewers, the structure matters more than the titles. The people who decide where a series streams, where it is sold on and where the adverts sit shape what you can find and where you find it.
