Marvel Sets Spider-Man Return and Three Zombies Specials

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man will return to Disney+ on 13 January 2027, and Marvel Zombies will continue as three Halloween specials starting in 2027.
Marvel Television laid out both animated plans at its New York Comic-Con panel on Thursday, according to Deadline. New York Comic-Con is the annual fan convention in New York where studios preview coming film and television work. Animation took centre stage in the Marvel session.
Season two gives Spider-Man viewers a winter date to hold. The first season ran for 10 episodes. Hudson Thames voices Peter Parker, the teenage hero at the centre of the story. The wider voice cast, meaning the actors heard rather than seen on screen, also includes Colman Domingo, Eugene Byrd, Grace Song, Zeno Robinson, Hugh Dancy and Charlie Cox.
Marvel describes the series as following Peter Parker on his way to becoming a hero. It says the look celebrates the character's early comic book roots, a nod to the simple lines and bright colours of his first printed adventures. Its official programme page currently lists the 2025 entry as Season 1, according to Marvel. That listing helps new viewers start from the beginning before January.
Marvel Zombies began as a four-episode animated series. It was created by Bryan Andrews and Zeb Wells. It will now continue outside a full season order. A special in television terms is a standalone release, often scheduled around a holiday or event.
The first new special is titled Marvel Zombies: The Winter Soldier and is expected in 2027. The next two will be titled The Fist of Khonshu and The Last Guardian. All three are planned as Halloween specials, which places them in October viewing. Three specials. Three titles.
For fans, this means a simple calendar. Watch Spider-Man in January. Save Zombies for October. Disney+ is the subscription streaming home for both titles. No episode counts for season two or running times for the specials were included in the panel report.
What makes this stand out is the contrast in release shapes. Spider-Man keeps the familiar season pattern. Zombies shifts to appointment viewing, with one story landing each Halloween. An earlier Marvel Studios social post from October 2025 had pointed to autumn 2026 for Spider-Man season two, but the January 2027 date reported from the panel is the latest confirmed plan.
