Toy Story 5 Tops US Streaming Chart With 1.54 Billion Minutes

Toy Story 5 went straight to No. 1 on US streaming in its first week on Disney+.
The film collected 1.54 billion minutes of viewing for the week of Sept. 21-27, 2026, topping Nielsen's overall streaming chart, according to figures reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The toys won. Nielsen's ratings cover viewing on TV sets in the US only, and exclude computers and phones.
Toy Story 5 runs 102 minutes. That total works out at about 15.1 million full views. The film began streaming on Disney+ on September 23, as listed by Disney+, so its chart-topping week reflects five days of availability in the Nielsen window.
What makes this stand out is the short window. Five days was enough for first place, but not enough for the year's record. That still belongs to Zootopia 2, which logged 1.72 billion minutes in March, the largest single-week total for a Disney+ film in 2026.
Globally, Disney had reported 20 million views in Toy Story 5's first five days on the service, as reported by Deadline. That worldwide figure uses Disney's own count. The Nielsen figure is US-only and TV-set only.
Behind the leader, two returning series held strong. Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story drew 1.36 billion minutes, down 8 percent from its premiere week. Neagley drew 1.25 billion minutes, down about 30 percent from its debut.
Two newcomers also cracked the overall top 10. Wonka's The Golden Ticket opened with 854 million minutes. A Different World followed with 751 million minutes in its premiere week.
Elsewhere on series, American Horror Story drew 763 million minutes as its 13th season premiered on Sept. 24. Reacher drew 707 million minutes a week after the end of its fourth season. Gilmore Girls, the familiar favourite now streaming on Hulu, drew 512 million minutes. Paramount+'s MobLand drew 364 million minutes following its season two premiere.
On the movie chart, The Love Hypothesis opened in second place behind Toy Story 5 with 414 million minutes. Netflix's Unabomber drew 407 million minutes.
