Celine Dion falls on stage in Paris, gets up and finishes show

Celine Dion fell on stage during her Paris residency on Wednesday and was back on her feet within moments. She gave the audience a thumbs-up and carried on with the show at the Plenitude Arena, according to Billboard.
She was singing the French-language song "Dans un autre monde" when she went down. Video from the concert appears to show Dion jump, land awkwardly and lose her balance before falling backward. She was wearing heels at the time.
She stood up quickly. She finished the song. The crowd cheered her on.
Clips of the moment spread quickly online after the show. Entertainment Tonight published footage under the title "Celine Dion Takes a Tumble During Paris Residency." The fall did not stop the concert.
The show was the 11th date of a 26-date Paris residency, Billboard reported. The run began on Sept. 12 and is scheduled to continue through Oct. 17. Another 10 performances are scheduled for May 2027.
A residency is a run of concerts held in one venue, rather than a tour that moves from city to city. Dion's Paris stay was first announced as 10 shows running from Sept. 12 through Oct. 14, 2026, according to a statement on her website. Six further dates were then added for Sept. 18, Sept. 25, Oct. 2, Oct. 9, Oct. 16 and Oct. 17.
The dates are Dion's return to regular live performances after a six-year hiatus. She publicly revealed a diagnosis of stiff-person syndrome in December 2022. The condition is a rare neurological disorder that causes muscle stiffness and spasms.
She announced the Paris comeback on her birthday, March 30, 2026. Registration for presale access was open until April 2, with the presale beginning on April 7. Opening night played to a sold-out crowd at the Plenitude Arena, her team said at the time.
For fans in the room, the meaning of the night was plain. Dion took a hard fall in front of thousands of people, checked she was all right, and sang on.
