Lana Del Rey will voice a character called Delta Dawne and co-host a country music station in Grand Theft Auto VI.

The details were confirmed through Rolling Stone interviews published on 8 October 2026, with Del Rey adding on 9 October 2026 that the role is “super special and a privilege” GameSpot. She said: “On so many different levels this is super special and a privilege. Can't wait to get into the game and start playing.”

Grand Theft Auto VI, the open-world crime series from Rockstar Games, is scheduled for release on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is set in Leonida, a fictional state inspired by Florida, which includes the return of Vice City, the series version of Miami.

Del Rey will co-host Back Country Radio, a station that specialises in classic and outlaw country music Rolling Stone. Her co-host is country singer Morgan Wallen, appearing as the character MW. It is a family affair. Del Rey’s husband, Jeremy Dufrene, voices Mud Dog Mike, the station’s roving reporter, swamp meteorologist and airboat captain.

Dufrene is an airboat captain in real life. Del Rey told Rolling Stone she has a long history with the series, saying her family recognised Los Angeles roads on their first visit because they had driven virtual versions in the games.

Back Country Radio is one of six featured stations with celebrity hosts. Cocoteo FM focuses on modern Latin music and will be co-hosted by Bad Bunny as El Martillo and singer RaiNao as La Gata.

The pop station Flash FM will be hosted by Swedish singer Robyn and model Alex Consani. Trick Daddy and Trina will host Dirty South Classics, playing regional rap and classic hip-hop.

Burna Boy and DJ Palms Trax will host AfroBank FM, built around contemporary and classic African music. Slayer members Kerry King and Tom Araya will host The Chamber 106.6, the game’s heavy-metal station.

For fans, this means the radio dial will sound unusually starry. Players can listen to music while driving, and can listen to podcasts through headphones while walking around Vice City on foot.

Rockstar is also planning a soundtrack album with 34 original tracks made for the game. Artists including Travis Scott, Morgan Wallen, Rauw Alejandro, Yung Lean and Keith Richards have released songs for it. The album is due for release on 19 November 2026, the same day as the game.
