Greg Maurice and Pastor Stephon Chaney Launch Faith and Family Company Ark Clb

Film executive Greg Maurice and pastor Stephon Chaney have launched Ark Clb, a new media company for faith and family films and television. The launch was detailed by Deadline on 9 October.
Ark Clb plans to work across the full life of a project. That means acquiring finished films and series, meaning buying the rights to release them, as well as financing new work, producing it on set and distributing it to viewers. The focus is the faith and family space, the industry shorthand for stories made to be watched together and often built around belief.
The company will have two home bases. It will operate from Atlanta and Los Angeles. That gives the new outfit a footing on each side of the country.
Maurice brings a long buying record to the venture. He was Senior Director, Global Acquisitions and Co-Productions at 1091 Pictures from 2020 to 2024, a role covering buying finished titles and structuring co-productions, where two or more companies share the cost of a film or show. He then spent two years acquiring titles for Filmhub, an online platform where independent filmmakers offer work for licensing to streaming services and other outlets.
Earlier, he was Director of Marketing and Acquisitions at Entertainment One from 2012 to 2018. He also served as Content Director at Fox Sports from 2010 to 2011. It is a career built on spotting finished work and finding it an audience.
Chaney joins as co-founder and Head of Strategic Partnerships, leading relationships with outside groups and organisations. His background sits outside the traditional studio path. He previously worked at Salesforce, BetterUp and Thrive Global before moving into full-time ministry in Atlanta, Georgia.
What makes this stand out is the pairing. One founder knows the deals desk. The other knows the congregation. One side brings experience in rights, releases and licensing. The other brings close ties to the community the company aims to serve.
The launch report centres on the company set-up and the founders' backgrounds. No first slate was laid out. For now, the story is simple. Two partners. Two cities. One lane.
