Phoebe Bridgers Reunites With Boygenius for Cherry Lane Set

Phoebe Bridgers has reunited with her boygenius bandmates for a three-song set filmed in New York.

The performance, titled Sound Check at Cherry Lane Theatre and directed by Lance Oppenheim, was published to YouTube on 9 October, according to Rolling Stone.

The room is tiny. Cherry Lane Theatre is a historic venue in New York's West Village, and the taping followed Bridgers' three-night run at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. Sound Check is a performance series by A24, as noted by Pitchfork. The official video is listed as 'Phoebe Bridgers stops by Cherry Lane Theatre for Sound Check', per its YouTube description.

The set features three songs. It includes "On Video," Bridgers' song written for the Primetime soundtrack. It also includes "Haunted," performed with Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker, and "Lost Boys," which follows "Haunted" in the performance.

Dacus and Baker are Bridgers' bandmates in boygenius, the trio behind the Grammy-winning debut album The Record, according to Billboard. During "Haunted," Dacus holds a camcorder pointed at Bridgers. The video credits list vocals by Lucy Dacus and guitar and vocals by Julien.

Longtime collaborator Ethan Gruska joins Bridgers onstage for the performance. Oppenheim is also Bridgers' director for Primetime. He directed her video for "Lost Boys," which featured Skyler Gisondo, her Primetime co-star.

Both "Haunted" and "Lost Boys" appear on Lost Weekend, Bridgers' first solo LP, a full-length album, in six years. Bridgers won three Grammy Awards alongside her boygenius bandmates, including Dacus, as reported by Pitchfork. She is also set for a solo tour in autumn 2026.

For fans, this means a rare small-room look at songs built for much larger spaces. An arena run, a soundtrack cut and a full-band reunion fit into one theatre stage, with the camcorder shot keeping the focus close.
