Actor Keegan Allen, known for Pretty Little Liars, was robbed at gunpoint and struck in the face with a handgun on Thursday evening in West Hollywood. The attack happened as he loaded groceries into his vehicle in a store car park.

The incident took place at about 9.15 p.m. outside the Laurel Supply store at 8445 Santa Monica Blvd. near Olive Drive, according to law enforcement accounts reported by Deadline. Laurel Supply is a high-end grocery store in West Hollywood, as described by Page Six. Allen was standing beside a pickup truck when he was confronted.

Allen said in an Instagram post that two young men robbed him at gunpoint and knifepoint and threatened to kill him over his watch. The suspects were described as masked men in black hoodies. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed the victim was hit in the face with a handgun, and the suspects took his watch before fleeing in an unknown vehicle.

Allen appeared bloodied and injured after the apparent robbery. Emergency medical technicians, the first responders who treat patients at the scene, treated him in the car park. He was not taken to hospital by ambulance but later went himself because he feared he had concussion.

After the attack, Allen posted a video that included footage of the crime. In it, he tagged Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Governor Gavin Newsom and said he hoped Flock cameras would help find the attackers. Flock cameras are networked number-plate readers widely used by police to track vehicles.

Dispatch audio from the 911 call about the attack has since been publicised, as reported by Page Six. No arrests have been reported in the accounts published so far. The sheriff's department has not released further detail on the suspects or the vehicle.
