McAfee to anchor Disney's Super Bowl Field Pass in multi-feed plan

Pat McAfee will anchor Field Pass for Disney's coverage of Super Bowl LXI.
It is one of several alternative game-night feeds planned around the championship. The idea is simple. Watch the main call, or pick another room.
Field Pass is an alterna-cast, meaning an alternative presentation shown beside the main broadcast. The commentary-driven show will air on ESPNU on Super Bowl Sunday, while the traditional call airs on ABC and ESPN, according to Variety.
That main feed remains the centre. The other feeds run at the same time. Viewers choose.
The most familiar alternative is the ManningCast. Peyton and Eli Manning will front a Super Bowl version on ESPN2. The format keeps the game on screen while the two former quarterbacks watch, react and bring in guests.
Then there is Playbook. It is a statistics-led telecast built around Next Gen Stats, the league's player-tracking data. Field Yates, Chase Daniel, Louis Riddick and Seth Walder will lead it.
ESPN's press materials list the full titles as "Monday Night Football Field Pass with The Pat McAfee Show" and "MNF Playbook with Next Gen Stats", according to the ESPN Press Room. Both versions are slated for Super Bowl LXI and for select Monday Night Football weeks.
Super Bowl LXI is set for February 14, 2027 at SoFi Stadium, according to ESPN. The game will also stream on Disney+ alongside ESPN and ABC, as reported by The Athletic.
There is also a family option. Disney plans a Disney/Pixar animated Funday Football presentation for Super Bowl LXI, as previously reported by The Hollywood Reporter. It uses animated characters and visual effects over live action, aimed at younger viewers and co-viewing.
For fans, this means four different ways into the same game. A straight call. A chat-led show with McAfee. A quarterback-led hangout with the Mannings. A numbers-led breakdown. Pick one, or flip between them.
