Lindsey Buckingham joined Sombr on stage at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on 10 October for a joint performance of Fleetwood Mac's "Go Your Own Way." The appearance came during Sombr's You Are the Reason tour stop in the city. Billboard reported the duet on 12 October.

The song dates to 1977. It was released on Fleetwood Mac's album Rumours and reached No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, the chart that ranks singles in the United States by sales, streams and radio play. Buckingham is the band's guitarist and a singer and writer on the original recording.

Sombr missed some of the words during the Los Angeles performance. Buckingham then played an extended guitar solo before the two finished the song together, as described by MusicRadar. He missed a line. The song carried on.

Buckingham was not the only guest that night. Earlier in the same show, Sombr brought out Jesse Rutherford, singer of The Neighbourhood, to perform "Sweater Weather." The two shared vocals for the song in front of the arena crowd.

What makes this stand out is the span between the two collaborations. One reached back almost five decades to a 1970s album track. The other pulled in a singer whose own band broke through in the streaming era. Both were fitted into a single setlist in one evening.

The Los Angeles show now moves on down the road. Sombr's next date is 13 October at Pechanga Arena in San Diego. That stop is part of a wider arena run, following the 37-date North America autumn tour that Rolling Stone reported in April. Rolling Stone also reported on the Buckingham appearance on 11 October.
