Madonna's Confessions II has topped the Billboard 200, the weekly US albums chart. The album is a sequel to her 2005 Confessions on a Dance Floor. Madonna decided to make it after her second studio session back with Stuart Price, according to Billboard.

Price knew her stage show inside out. He served as music producer for the Celebration Tour in 2023-2024. That working link carried straight into the new record. He was there from early studio gestation through live outings with Madonna in Times Square, at the VMAs and in clubs in Amsterdam and London.

The guest list reaches across pop, dance and Latin music. Sabrina Carpenter, Feid, Martin Garrix, Stromae and Lola Leon are credited as guest artists. All five were confirmed in Billboard's reporting on the album published on 12 October 2026.

One track reaches back to New York. "Danceteria", named for the Manhattan club Danceteria, was co-written and co-produced by Andrew Watt. During sessions with Watt, Madonna spoke her origin story on the microphone over the track. She then wrote it out across three pages.

What makes this stand out is how the reunion shaped the sound. Price first worked with Madonna on the original Confessions era. Watt brought a separate studio partnership. Together they form part of a tight production core.

Album credits list production by Madonna, Andrew Watt, Cirkut and Stuart Price, according to Madonna's official store. Writing credits name Madonna, Andrew Watt, Henry Walter and Stuart Price. Publishing is listed as Webo Girl Publishing, Inc.

For fans, this means more film as well as music. Billboard has published behind-the-scenes videos featuring Madonna, Price, Watt and Stromae on the making of Confessions II. Four additional episodes are scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 15.

There are choices at the till, too. Madonna's official website lists a Barnes & Noble exclusive edition of Confessions II, alongside a Cover Tee Numbered 2LP Bundle and a Neon Tee Deluxe CD Bundle. The 2LP denotes a double vinyl set. The bundles pair the record with T-shirts.
