No Man's Sky heads to iPhone and iPad on 28 October

No Man's Sky is coming to iPhone and iPad on 28 October, with all of its updates included in one release. Developer Hello Games confirmed the iOS date, Eurogamer reported.
It will fit in your pocket. The studio says the mobile version will run on devices as old as the iPhone 11. It has been optimised for touch controls, and also supports controllers and mouse and keyboard.
Hello Games founder Sean Murray said the port was helped by work on Light No Fire, the studio's next game. The two games share the same engine, the core software that decides how a game runs and renders its worlds, so performance work done for Light No Fire was carried across to No Man's Sky.
Light No Fire is a co-op adventure game set on a single procedurally generated fantasy planet described as having no boundaries. Procedurally generated means the landscape is created by code rather than built by hand, allowing for a much larger world.
Hello Games describes it as a game about adventure, building, survival and exploration together, set on a fantasy planet the size of Earth, according to its official site Hello Games.
Hello Games said the mobile project will also help existing players elsewhere. Tweaks and improvements made to get the game running on phones and tablets will benefit No Man's Sky on PC, PlayStation, Switch and Xbox.
The studio shared new information about Light No Fire while promoting the Voyagers update for No Man's Sky in August 2025, Android Police reported.
For players, this means the full game on the move rather than a cut-down spin-off. Anyone starting on iOS gets every update from the start, while players on other platforms get the benefit of the optimisation work behind it.
