PBS Renews Civics Made Easy for Season 2 With Ben Sheehan

PBS has renewed Civics Made Easy for a second season. The new run starts on Wednesday, only two days after the renewal was reported on 12 October 2026, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
That is a fast turnaround. A renewal, meaning an order for another season, usually arrives weeks before a premiere. Here viewers barely have to wait.
The eight-episode season is hosted by Ben Sheehan. Sheehan also writes and executive produces the series, meaning he leads the creative direction and oversees production.
Season 2 will run through January 2027. Eight episodes. Three months on air.
You will be able to watch in several places. New episodes premiere on PBS member stations, meaning local PBS channels, as well as the PBS app, PBS.org and YouTube.
Civics Made Easy is a Webby Award-winning series exploring the fundamentals of U.S. government. If you have never seen it, each episode aims to familiarise viewers with how American civics works, in plain terms.
The series is produced by Second Peninsula. Production companies handle the day-to-day making of a show, from filming to final edit.
For viewers, this means an easy entry point is back on the shelf. Eight short stops, free to watch, on broadcast and online at the same time.
