RJ Mitte, who played Walter White's son on Breaking Bad, has died at 34.

His representatives confirmed his death on Monday. He died in Brownsville, Texas, according to Deadline. No immediate cause of death was given.

Mitte played Walter Jr., the son of Bryan Cranston's Walter White, across the run of Breaking Bad. He was the American actor's best-known television role. He was 34.

Mitte lived with cerebral palsy, a condition that affects movement and muscle tone. His character on the series also had cerebral palsy.

Off screen, Mitte worked with disability organisations. He served as an ambassador for United Cerebral Palsy and for Shriners Children's. He was also president of The Mitte Foundation.

He spoke publicly about access and representation in television. At the Edinburgh TV Festival in 2016, he called for more onscreen opportunities for disabled people, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. He also advocated for more disabled actors to be cast in television roles, as reported by Variety.

His representatives asked for privacy for the family. No further details were released.
