Raven Banner Entertainment has acquired worldwide rights to Òpi, the Polish folklore horror film from first-time feature director Marta Giec, as reported by Deadline on 13 October 2026.

The deal covers sales around the world. Raven Banner will handle offers from distributors and buyers in each territory.

Òpi follows 18-year-old Trina as she tries to break away from her mother amid family tension and generational trauma, according to Deadline. The story is rooted in the beliefs and folklore of Kashubia, a region in northern Poland with its own language and traditions.

Wiktoria Kruszczyńska stars as Trina. The cast also includes Gabriela Muskała, Magdalena Boczarska, Iwona Bielska and Pitry. Giec co-wrote the script with Dominika Kłoczewiak, and Adam Korpak and Karol Żbikowski are listed as producers by the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival. The film runs 96 minutes, according to Bloody Disgusting.

Òpi had its world premiere at the 51st Polish Film Festival in Gdynia in September. It will have its international premiere at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival, which runs 15 to 22 October.

Its local trailer drew close to 400,000 views in less than three weeks. Raven Banner, led by managing partner Michael Paszt, has previously handled sales for The Sadness, Deathstalker and Deathgasm 2: Goremageddon.

What makes this stand out is the setting. Kashubian folklore is rarely seen on screen outside Poland, which gives a familiar family story a very specific local texture.
