Elderbrook has signed with Counter Records and will release his fourth studio album, Heart on a Wire, on Jan. 22. Billboard reported the signing and the album details on Oct. 13.

The record contains 10 songs. Its lead single, "Lost In the View," was released on Oct. 13, the same day the album was announced. A lead single is the first track put out to introduce a longer release, and it usually arrives with streaming links and a video while the album is still to come.

Counter Records is a label within the Ninja Tune group. In practice, that means the album will be released on Counter Records, with Ninja Tune's wider network behind distribution and promotion. A label home covers the practical side of putting out music, from manufacturing and delivery to streaming pages to planning the release week.

The move follows Another Touch, Elderbrook's previous album, which was released by Mine Recordings in 2024. That record was his third studio album, which makes Heart on a Wire the next full step in his catalogue. A studio album is a full-length collection recorded as one project, distinct from a shorter EP or a one-off single.

Elderbrook is a British multi-instrumentalist, producer and singer-songwriter. Ninja Tune That description means he writes songs, sings them, plays instruments on the recordings and shapes the final sound in production. His work sits between live playing and electronic production, with vocals kept at the centre.

The artwork for Heart on a Wire was designed by Charlie Drinkwater. Cover art is the image listeners see on vinyl sleeves, CD booklets and streaming screens, and it often sets the visual tone for videos, posters and live staging.

Elderbrook has already appeared on Counter Records with "Staring at the Sun," a single shared by the label. Counter Records That earlier release gave listeners a first taste of the partnership before the wider signing was confirmed.

What makes this stand out is the clarity of the rollout. Fans do not have to wait in the dark. One new song is out now, the track count is confirmed at 10, and the album has a fixed date of Jan. 22.

For listeners, this means a simple timeline. Play "Lost In the View" now, and expect the full 10-track album to follow on Counter Records in January. The label has confirmed the title, the date and the designer, so the pieces around the music are already in place.
