Personalized Story Group acquires Hooray Heroes

Personalized Story Group has acquired Hooray Heroes, the Slovenia-based publisher of personalised books.
Deal terms were not disclosed. The agreement was announced on 6 October 2026 and reported in the trade press on 13 October 2026, with Brendon Watson identified as chief executive of Personalized Story Group Publishers Marketplace.
Hooray Heroes is described as an international consumer publishing brand. It is a personalised-book publisher, meaning readers can add names, likenesses and messages into finished stories.
The catalogue is broad. It runs to more than 60 customisable books for children, grown-ups, couples and pets, according to the company’s site.
Personalized Story Group, often shortened to PSG, said the purchase expands three things. Its creative catalogue. Its international customer base. Its capabilities in multi-character and family-focused product personalisation.
That last point matters. It refers to books built around several named people at once, rather than a single child hero.
PSG describes itself as founder-led. Its portfolio of publishing and gifting brands includes Story Bug and My Story Tale, as set out in the October announcement Morningstar.
The group’s own website also lists Hooray Heroes, Paper Pixi and Wall Art Prints among its portfolio brands, meaning separate labels owned by one owner. Paper Pixi offers books and keepsakes for early years and new family chapters. Wall Art Prints offers made-to-order art and personalised prints.
PSG says it brings together technology, storytelling, illustration, ecommerce, marketing and global print-on-demand fulfilment. Print-on-demand means a copy is printed after a customer orders it, rather than held in a warehouse.
In business terms, the integration is already visible. The Hooray Heroes website and business are operated by Personalized Story Group Inc., a Delaware corporation doing business as Hooray Heroes, a legal phrase meaning trading under that name.
The deal was announced in a PR Newswire press release titled ‘Founder-Led Personalized Story Group Acquires International Consumer Publishing Brand Hooray Heroes’ PR Newswire. In that announcement PSG called Hooray Heroes one of the personalised-book category’s most established independent brands.
What makes this stand out is the shape of the shelf. For readers, this means the name on the book cover may stay the same while the owner behind it has changed.
