Sam Jaeger and Ariel Winter will lead Change of Heart.

The two actors have been set as series regulars on the Hallmark Media series, meaning they play central characters who appear across the series rather than in a single episode. The casting was reported by Deadline on 13 October 2026.

Jaeger plays Charlie Wyatt, a renowned divorce attorney. Winter plays Brit, Charlie's younger sister. Those two descriptions place a family connection at the centre of the drama, with one sibling's legal career named and more story detail still to come.

Rachel Boston, Julie Gonzalo and Kevin Vidal have also been cast in Change of Heart. Their specific roles have not been made public. The announcement names five performers in total, with Jaeger and Winter confirmed as the two series-regular leads.

Change of Heart was created by Jonny Umansky, who developed the original concept for the series. Erin Gibson serves as showrunner, the lead writer who runs the writers' room and day-to-day creative choices, and as executive producer alongside Umansky. That pairing divides responsibility between the show's creator and its day-to-day manager.

Four other names share the executive producer credit, a senior role that covers creative input and business decisions. They are Liz Cohen, Keren Shahar, Peter Traugott and Heather Brewster. Together with Umansky and Gibson, they form the senior leadership team announced for the series.

On the production side, Change of Heart is produced by Fox Entertainment Studios, which makes the series for Hallmark Media. International distribution will be handled by Fox Entertainment Global, meaning that company manages sales and delivery of the show outside the United States. The split keeps production and overseas sales under the Fox umbrella.

The series is set to premiere in 2027 exclusively on Hallmark+, Hallmark Media's subscription streaming service. An exclusive streaming premiere means the show will debut there first and viewers will need access to that service to watch it at launch. No exact date within 2027 has been announced.

For fans, this means the core pieces are now visible. Two siblings anchor the cast, three more actors round out the ensemble, and the writers, producers and studios behind the camera are in place well ahead of the debut. What makes this stand out for general viewers is how much is settled early, with the leads, the family link, the creative team and the streaming home all confirmed more than a year out.
