Matchbox Twenty set 52-date tour from May, starting in Birmingham

Matchbox Twenty will play 52 dates across North America from May 2027 in a tour promoted by Live Nation, the concert company organising the run.
The run starts on May 15 at the Coca-Cola Amphitheater in Birmingham, Alabama, according to dates reported by Billboard. Presales begin on Oct. 20, with tickets on general sale from Oct. 23.
The announcement followed a sold-out club show on Oct. 12 at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles and an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Billboard reported. The band billed that Los Angeles date on its tour page as One Night Only: Yourself or Someone Like You.
The current lineup is Rob Thomas, Kyle Cook, Paul Doucette and Brian Yale. Atlantic Records, the band's label, reports sales of more than 40 million records.
The 2027 schedule mixes arenas, amphitheatres and sheds. It includes May 18 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, June 9 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and June 16 at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas.
The band will also play the Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California, on April 25, ahead of the official May start. Festival slots of this kind sit outside the main headline routing but are listed as part of the same season.
Support on selected dates will come from The All-American Rejects, The Wallflowers, David Gray, O.A.R., Matt Nathanson and The Lucky. Rotating openers are common on long US runs, where different acts join for different legs to suit each market.
For fans, this means a long window to catch the band, but also different bills by city. The exact opener for each stop will matter when tickets go on sale.
The band's website also lists a June 24 show in Memphis, Tennessee, added to its Slow Dream Tour. That listing predates the new 52-date announcement and appears as a separate routing.
