Dancing With the Stars Stages First-Ever Super Bowl Night

Dancing With the Stars will stage a first-ever Super Bowl Night in Season 35.
Football meets ballroom. The themed episode airs live on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 8 p.m. PT/ET on ABC, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Each couple will reimagine an iconic Super Bowl halftime show. The halftime acts in the mix include Bad Bunny, Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga.
The night opens with the full cast dancing to “NUEVAYoL” by Bad Bunny, ABC’s press site lists. The published song-and-dance lineup also includes a Salsa to Kendrick Lamar’s “squabble up,” a Salsa to Bad Bunny’s “Tití Me Preguntó” and a Jazz routine set to “The Time (Dirty Bit),” according to lohud. Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna are listed among the paired couples for the night.
Viewers have several ways to watch live. The episode will be shown at the same time on Disney+, a simulcast, and can also be streamed live through DirecTV, Fubo, Sling and Hulu + Live TV. Episodes become available to stream the next day on Hulu.
Voting reopens when the show returns live at 8/7c, ABC’s voting page notes. The series airs in that regular Tuesday slot and streams on Disney+.
Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough are listed as hosts for Season 35, with Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli listed as judges, according to ABC. The season began on Sept. 16, 2026 with 16 new celebrities. By “Mariah Carey Night” on Oct. 7, 12 couples remained to dance to Carey songs.
The season started strongly in the ratings. The premiere averaged 5.3 million viewers and a 1.06 rating across primetime hours and led ABC to win the night overall, beating NBC by 38%, according to Variety. Conner Leavitt was eliminated at the end of premiere night. New faces this season include Jenna Dewan, Julia Stiles and Taylor Hanson.
For fans, this means a familiar contest in unfamiliar kit. No touchdowns, just halftime hits turned into ballroom routines, with viewer votes again helping decide who stays.
