Tia Ray headlines Grammy Museum in historic first

Tia Ray became the first Chinese female singer to headline her own show at the Grammy Museum, presenting 'An Evening with Tia Ray' in Los Angeles on Oct. 6, according to Billboard.
The evening centred on her two languages. She performed more than 10 signature songs in Chinese and English, moving between both across the set.
The set list included 'Love Herby,' 'That Girl, Ah Chu,' 'Beautiful Day' and 'Pressure'. She was joined by special guest Bren Joy for a duet of 'This Is Love'. That pairing gave the night its one shared vocal spotlight.
The event was organised as invitation-only. The room was filled with producers, songwriters and music industry professionals.
Grammy winner Paul E. Phamous served as host. He was also one of the producers behind her song 'Complicated'.
The Los Angeles date followed a busy year. She released the English-language album 'NEW DAY' earlier in 2026. In the second half of the year she undertook an international tour spanning six cities across three continents.
Her wider credits include several firsts and invitations. She was the first Chinese singer to appear on the annual Global Digital Singles Chart from IFPI, the body that represents the recording industry worldwide. She has also received Billboard's Women in Music Global Force Award.
She has been invited to perform at the SXSW Music Festival repeatedly since 2025. That run included record audience turnout at SXSW's Sydney edition. Three days after the Museum show, she was invited to perform at the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix on Oct. 9.
What makes this stand out is the mix of rooms. A museum stage, a festival field and a race weekend do not share an audience. Ray carried the same bilingual set between them.
