Kevin Parker tells JENNIE she reminds him of Dua Lipa

Kevin Parker thinks JENNIE and Dua Lipa run on the same energy.
Parker, the musician behind Tame Impala, told JENNIE that Dua is “a lot like you” in a joint conversation for Rolling Stone’s Musicians on Musicians issue, published Oct. 13. He described both singers as people who cannot sit still and are always doing stuff, adding that Dua does it effortlessly, just like JENNIE. Billboard
The comparison comes with history on both sides. Parker worked on much of Dua’s album Radical Optimism, and JENNIE teamed with Dua on the 2025 single “Handlebars”. JENNIE, a member of Blackpink, and Parker also found common ground over a shared love of Rihanna in the interview.
Parker and JENNIE have their own recent collaboration. They linked up in February on a remix of Tame Impala’s song “Dracula”, which has since reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, the US singles chart.
That result followed a steady climb. “Dracula” entered the Hot 100’s top 10 in May, giving both Tame Impala and JENNIE their first top 10 hits on that chart. It then topped Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart in July and reached No. 1 on the all-format Radio Songs chart dated Sept. 26. Billboard
The pair have taken the song to the stage too. Tame Impala brought JENNIE out at Boston’s TD Garden to perform the remix together in July.
For fans, this means two threads are moving at once. JENNIE started her next solo era in August with the release of the FALLEN ANGEL EP. Parker continues his run as both a recording artist and a sought-after collaborator, with JENNIE now firmly in his circle.
